Do you own a 1023E, 1025R or 2025R Compact Utility Tractor?
In September 26, 2024 John Deere issued a recall on over 150,000 units between the US and Canada. It has been found that the front bell crank in the brake linkage can fail causing the tractor to lose braking.
What does this mean for you?
If you purchased one of the above mentioned machines from us with a manufacture date of 2018-2022 a team member from Hall's will be reaching out to you to regarding this recall.
John Deere is only releasing a certain amount of repair parts each month to each dealer and given that there are almost 150,000 machines across the country that will need this repair it is going to take some time for us to get to everyone.
Due to the magnitude of this recall, we are currently working on the 2018 and 2019 model years.

The change over only takes about a half hour.
Can I take it to any dealer?
No, the recall work has to be done at the dealer of which it was purchased from.
What if I don't have a way to bring my machine to your shop?
As with our regular service here at Hall's, we do offer pick up and delivery services. A hauling fee is charged for this service and it varies based on mileage. While the recall part and labor is free, the customer is responsible for ALL hauling fees as this is not covered under the recall. We are able to accept deliveries from other towing companies if you find another option.
What if I didn't purchase my machine at a dealer and I have not received a letter?
If this is the case, you will need to gather your serial number information off of your machine.
